This is happening due to a recent Microsoft Update (June 09). We are working as fast as we can to solve the issue - as are many other software developers - and we will update everyone as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, many customers have found that if they keep a new StyleEase document open while working on their existing document, the menus work.
UPDATE: this is a Word 2007 bug.Caused by security update KB969604, which was issued on June 8th. It has messed up thousands of Office programs and users by causing corruption of document variables (which are pieces of info that we store in each StyleEase document to tell things like what kind of doc it is, which database it uses, how it is numbered, etc). http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-3832983.phpThere are two possible fixes for now:
1) Uninstall that security patch.
2) Save documents in Word 2003 format until Microsoft fixes the problem. This seems to work, but may not work on a document that is already corrupted … in which case you can open the corrupted doc, copy everything to the clipboard, create a new document, and copy/paste into the new doc [the corrupted variables will not be copied into the new doc] Error 13
