Making Level 2 Headings in APA look like Level 1 Headings int he TOC
Article In the 6th Edition of APA, Level 1 headings are now a Chapter Heading, which causes page breaks in between your headings.  Many people resort to using Level 2 headings, then centering them, but then the Table of Contents (TOC) will have indents that make the headings look like sub-headings.

Here's how to fix the TOC if you so choose:

1.  After you have made the headings APA level 2 and centered them, go to the table of contents and highlight the table and right-click it
2.  Click Edit Field
3.  In the window that pops up, click the Table of Contents button in the center
4.  Click Modify at the bottom
5.  Click TOC 2 in the list
6.  Click the Modify button on this window (lower right)
7.  Click Format on the bottom left and choose Paragraph
8.  Make the left indentation 0" and click where it says hanging indent and choose none
9.  Click OK 4 times to back out of all this and click OK again when it asks if you want to update the table.

This should fix the TOC and get rid of the page breaks between headings.
